Our B Corp Announcement

It’s official! The Uplift Partnership is now a B Corp.

We’ve joined a global community of businesses that are dedicated to building a better world, and we’re delighted to be able to announce this on the same day B Corp UK has shared the breaking news that there are now 1,000 UK B Corps! We founded The Uplift Partnership to improve the lives of other people, and we chose a name accordingly. A founding principle of our company was that we wanted to affect positive change and leave a lasting legacy in the world.

Our vision was to build a modern business designed with positive impact in mind, and we started engaging with B Corp 3 months after getting started. Two and a half years later and we’ve finally made it!

Getting here was tough to say the least (the application is rigorous). We think it’s worth it though, as a B Corp badge doesn’t just mean we meet the highest environmental and social standards, but also commits us to keeping these high standards up for the long haul.

Our mission is to empower organisations to create Sustainable Performance in Sales. We do this by combining our expertise in coaching, technology and sales, to affect change and lasting positive impact.

We welcomed the rigor of the B Corp certification process, and it helped us focus on defining the measureable impact we wanted to make in the business world.

The journey was always more important than the destination. Along the way we’ve shone a light into every aspect of our business, and had to make a searching inventory of our current and future behaviours.

It was important for us to set the highest standards right from the start, and across the board. Everything from how we impact the environment and society through our choice of suppliers; to promoting diversity and inclusion within our team, defining paid time off and parental leave, and breastfeeding in the workplace.

We chose to use B Corp as our standard for building a sustainable and ethically-driven business. Our aim is to become an active member of this growing and positive movement that is - today - 1,000 people strong in the UK!

Part of something bigger

Becoming a B Corp is a massive step, and we couldn’t have done it without our customers’ incredible feedback and support.

Getting certified also gives us the opportunity to work with other passionate B Corp businesses. Together we can reduce workplace stress, improve employee well-being, and support sustainable economic development.

Alastair started his career in digital marketing, using technology to create award-winning campaigns and innovative products for world-leading brands including Google, Apple and Tesco. As a practice lead responsible for business development, he became aware that the performance of sales staff improved when they were coached more regularly. His vision is that technology can be used to support sales managers as they work to maximise the effectiveness of their teams.
